Client: Bandrum Nursing Home
Whilst working as a Project Architect at 56three, I delivered the extension and refurbishment of Bandrum Nursing Home, transforming a historic building into a modern, resident-focused space. The project replaced an outdated single-storey wing with a contemporary addition and reimagined internal spaces to enhance comfort and functionality.
A clean material palette of brick and timber, along with large windows and Juliette balconies, created bright, inviting spaces that maximise natural light and connect residents to the surrounding landscape. The design balanced respect for the building’s heritage with modern care standards, resulting in a harmonious blend of old and new.
